SCHOLARSHIP FOR TEACHERS
to attend the
2007 IDA NATIONAL CONFERENCE

in Dallas, Texas
October 31-November 3, 2007

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

For more than 50 years, IDA has drawn together the
leading educational, medical, psychological and research
experts in the field of dyslexia and related learning
disabilities. Approximately 3,000 attendees each year
learn new techniques and the latest information regarding
social and emotional issues, legal concerns, research, etc.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The Maine IDA is pleased to offer four full scholarships to
the National IDA Conference held in Dallas, Texas October
31-November 3, 2007. The scholarships will be offered to
those who provide services for “at-risk” children in the
state of Maine. Recipients will be awarded the registration
fee of the conference plus $250 for out-of-pocket travel
expenses. Recipients must pay upfront for the registration
fee and travel expenses. The Maine IDA will then
reimburse the expenses accompanied by appropriate
receipts. Your school or business must agree to give you
time off before you apply.

Persons interested will submit an essay between 250-350
words describing how they hope the conference will impact
their work with “at-risk” children. Please electronically
submit your essay to
maineida@yahoo.com by August 1,
2007. In addition to your essay, please include your first
name, last name, home address, home phone, email
address, current position, and the name and address of
school or business. Recipients will be notified by
September 1, 2007.


Please do not apply for more than one scholarship to
this conference.
